"Gotta be around here." the red mustang continued to venture the roads and streets. There was garbage everywhere. But she was looking for something, someone. She could bare to stand this apocalypse all alone. She needed company.

"...He smiled, patted my head and left the room. He handed me a wristband. He told me that the wristband would hide my wounds from the world. He told me that life was beautiful. He told me that I was the closest he was ever to having a brother. And for the first time in my life, I felt loved."

I didn't know what to say. I didn't know what to do. I couldn't stand seeing them like that. They always seemed so happy together. I'd be lying if I didn't wish to be like that. Though, something about it all seemed comforting to me. For the next moment, not a sound was heard. I sat there looking at them both. I could see the tears in her eyes, and the tears building up in his. I remianed quiet. It just wasn't my time.

"But you think that because someone isn't walking this Earth, or breathing this air that they're dead. That's a lie. People die when they are forgotten. People die when their legacy ends.I'm telling you he'll never die." he kept going. His hand pointed to his heart. "He's right here..."

I watched as tears formed in his eyes. I didn't know what came over me. I just had to get up. I ran at them. I reached out and I held them both in my arms. No one wanted to be alone anymore. Since the death of Hiuru, then him... we were losing our family left and right. The next month we lost another to suicide... and then we lost Ghost... I just...

I wish I could have done more...

"There has to be someone... Anyone." She continued to drive, looking for a soul. Not many cars worked in this world, and even few could maneuver around the debris. Lau, was one of those people who had both.
