    Movie Night, Anyone?

Post by Siren on Mon Mar 23, 2015 7:39 pm

Monica looked towards the sealed windows of her house with a depressed sigh. It had been far too long since she had gone outside and truly enjoyed the beauty of day. She really longed to be outside and walk leisurely without the fear of zombies. She glanced at the small laptop that lay on top of her lap. At least electricity worked... She continued on her endless task. Type, type, type... She may not have internet access, but she at least kept hold of her journal inside the laptop. The recordings of her life. What was left of it anyways...

    Dear DairyJournal,

It has been so long since I've seen my family... Are they even still alive? Daddy maybe, but... Stephy? Mami?

Kaseki.. Albutt... Hazel... Luke... Are they even still out there? What if..?

A single tear fell down her face. It took every bit of willpower to not burst out crying at that very moment. Gah! She hated being  weak. She hated not knowing. She hated this! Why did this happen? Why now? Why? Angrily clicking save to the beginning of her post, she closed the laptop and stuffed it into her backpack. She was going to go outside no matter the risks. She needed a breath of fresh air or just the act of being alone would be her end. With that, she prepared to leave the safety of her home. Was it worth it? Yes. Yes, it was... right?

"MAAAAAAAAAAARRRIIIIIAAAA!" He pounded at the door. He got to the point of not caring anymore. He held some things in his hand. He was ready for adventure. He insisted on finding his own crew. If someone was going to maintain South Bravos, it had to be them. They needed somethings to do.

"I SWEAR. IF YOU DON'T HAVE FOOD I'M GOING TO BE VERY MAD." he said, slamming his fist into the door again. He was losing patience... he was out of ramen.

Just as she was about to turn the door nob, someone came bursting through the door. "Oh sh-!" She yelled out in surprise and panic, immediately raising her backpack to attack the unknown being. Was she really going to die so soon? To her great relief, she saw it was only Kaseki."KAAAAAASEKI!!!!~" She cried out, giving him a hug before punching his shoulder. "You almost gave me a heart attack!!" It was then that she remembered his question. "Food? Yeah..." She gestured to nowhere in particular. "..Somewhere.." She ushered him into the house only to see three zombies coming up from behind him. "Aye Dios! Kaseki! Get in before we become food or I swear..!" This... This was she got for wanting to go outside again... She gave a mental sigh. At least it was better than being alone.

"SHAKE WHAT CHA MOMMA GAVE YA!" He made a small jump inside, thinking about throwing the knives at the zombies. He did have three blades, but there was more to it than a few kills. He smiled as he put all the weapons in his right hand, holding the six pack of soda in his opposite hand. He thought about his itch to kill. He had to feed his angst,

He sat on the floor, no more than a yard away from the door. He set his weapons on the floor and the drinks, only to drop the backpack on his... back.

"Okay, so I have Revenge of the Sith on blu-ray, but I only have the rest on VHS. So we gucci?" he reached into the bag, shifting around some supplies. "Ssandy Toast get here yet?" he asked, "Wait... is she still with him?" he asked. He was referring to her sister... and her sister's boyfriend.

Then he picked up a blade and held it in reverse, as if waiting for something to kill.

"SHAKE WHAT CHA MOMMA GAVE YA!" Monica shook her head, hiding a smile. She was glad some things were the same or at least as close as one could get. They made their way inside, taking seats near the door. "Okay, so I have Revenge of the Sith on blu-ray," Kaseki began. ..."but I only have the rest on VHS. So we gucci?" She watched as he reached into the bag, shifting around some supplies. "Ssandy Toast get here yet?" he asked, "Wait... is she still with him?" Monica coughed. Why did he have to mention him. For all she cared, he could have died and become a zombie. Still it was a valid question although she did not know nor see what her sister saw in him. "I don't really know..." She said at last, reaching over for a soda. It had been a couple years since she had had one. All thanks to her mother's strict rules about it. "I haven't seen Stephy for quite a while now.. Or any of my family for that matter..." She sighed and opened the soda. Strawberry Fanta, her favorite. She took a sip of the liquid before turning her attention towards the pile of movies. "Let's just go with Revenge of the Sith..." She said at last, holding it towards Kaseki. "You put it on while I go grab some snacks. You think Neo is going to get here?" With that, she made her way to the kitchen. Now for food...

He tucked the knives in his belt. He smiled counting three of them. He felt normal for once, being able to carry weapons wherever he wanted. He left the rest of his things in the bag. He held the extendable baton from his old job in his hand as he got up with the video.

Hearing the moans of the walking dead outside the door was a snap back to reality. "Kay kays," he said, "There's more of them outside. Hopefully they leave... I don't have enough soda for all of us."

He walked over to the TV only to wonder where the player was. "... You know..." he began, "Sometimes I wonder if I should have gone back to find her..." his voice fell, thinking about a single girl. He tightened his grip on the baton in anger. He had to know if she was okay. He just had to know.

"Well at least my step-parents are dead." he said with a smile. He always did have a weird way of seeing reality.

There was a slight sound of moans coming from the undead that awoke the eyes of a sleeping resident within the house across the street where the sounds of people became noticeable. Her eyes only opened halfway while revealing their blue hue. Beautiful as a clear sky they were. She scans the room and slowly gets off the comfort of the bed to look out the window. The skies were beginning to accumulate clouds around the area ad streets seemed empty besides where the walkers were. Immediately catching the attention of Katherine. Observing carefully she notes that they have some weapons and that she did not. They became blunt and useless after the struggle she had gone to secure the house across from them. She sighs and lifts the window open from the second door bedroom she is in. Wind blows through her pink hair as she manages to breathe in some fresh air, carrying the scent of death as usual.
"I haven't seen anyone in a long time, they could use my help?", she said aloud to herself as she began searching the room for a weapon of sorts, high and low. Anything to be useful to them before it was too late. Little did she knew that they could take of themselves and truthfully she wanted to interact with someone. Everyone she knew was... Gone.

Monica made her way towards the kitchen. It was where she rarely went as it was right next to the glass door leading towards the deck. Sure it had blinds, but it was still better to be safe than sorry. Nearing the kitchen, she began to hear a sort of sound. Getting closer, she noticed that the door had never been shut. It was only a screen door that stood between herself and the zombies. Trying not to freak out, she began to carefully and quietly move towards the door. Another pair of zombies walked by but they were to distracted to even notice her. Once she had the chance, she grabbed the handle of the glass and slid it shut. It would keep them out of her home now. She ran towards the kitchen and began to pop some popcorn. While it popped, she rummaged through the fridge for something else. Ice cream. It brought a smile to her face as her thoughts turned to her sister and family. She could only pray that they were safe. She scooped the ice cream into plastic cups. Grabbing spoons and the popcorn, she dashed towards the living room only stopping to grab her father's metallic baseball bat. Reappearing into the living room, she hoped Kaseki had figured out how to put in the movie. It would provide an escape from reality or so she hoped.

He held the disk in his left hand as he held his baton in the other. "Goddammit... How do..."

"What do you mean you can't get the game on?"
    "Who has the remote?!"

"Look, I can't. I.T. has it." he told them. He was at work, wearing his security outfit. He had his revolver at his hip and his soda on the desk. He wasn't panicking, but he wanted to watch the game just as much as anyone else. He hated seeing the screens playing random sitcoms. But as always, he was the one officer to had to work the event.

"Thomas, go to this site..." she said from behind him. She smiled as he moved a few inches to let her use the computer. "I know this site. We can just stream it."

"Oh cool..." he said. Oh how little she knew how he really felt...

A tear began to find its way into his right eye, only reliving a flashback. "I'll protect you..." he said, "I promised..."

He held the disc with a single hand, while his right hand remained on the grip of the stick. "I promised..."

Catherine takes a deep breath and goes down the stairs. Running through the living room already dressed prior to sleeping. She had found a heavy baseball bat that felt heavy and was cold to the touch with a metallic feel to it. She opened the door and rushed to the other side of the street with her bat, bashing the brains of the first zombie! She proceeded to another one and another. After hitting four in a row across their brains, Catherine began breathing hard. "Rrraaaggh!", she yelled as she took another swing while moving around the zombies in quick motion. She had grabbed the attention of the rest and looked at them with fierce eyes. Their rotting flesh did not disturb her nor did their foul stench. Uplifting her forearms she takes another swing at another, knocking its head off its shoulder. The head would smash against the door of the house the others were in. It then rolled softly down, dripping blood.

Monica sighed as she emerged from the kitchen and sat down in front of the t.v. She placed a cup of ice cream in front of Kaseki and the large bowl of popcorn in the middle of them both, not noticing his tears. It was when she turned to ask if he had figured out how to put in the movie did she notice his tears. "Your Xiaowei?" She asked after a while, half remembering what he had said before. "You couldn't have been able to go back even if you had tried." She said after. She gave a slight pause before continuing. "We can always go back now and look for her. Do you know where she could be?" After finishing her words, Isabel listened yet paid not much attention to Kaseki's following words as her mind had become preoccupied with her own thoughts. It was truly a miracle she was alive. Even she knew she wouldn't be able to survive out alone. How she had done it, who really knew. Her thoughts were soon shattered by a loud thud coming from the front door. She immediately grabbed her bat. Standing up and on guard, she neared the door and peaked through the peep hole. She saw a pink haired woman fighting the horde of zombies that loitered outside. Isabel shook her head. The girl was either crazy or brave for attacking the zombies. Still, Isabel had half a mind to go back and ignore the happenings, but growing curiosity got the best of her. "Kaseki.. Someone is outside... Should we help?" She asked at last. She didn't much care, but an extra pair of hands would evetually be useful.

"I..." He squeezed his weapon, his knuckles cracking. He was unsure of what to do, yet so sure of how to do something. It was an odd feeling to be lost and found at the same time. His life was on the belief that he could do something about it. He wanted to help. He wanted a purpose he wanted...

    "You like kitkats right?"

He sat at his desk at work. It was nightfall in Bravos. It was like any other day at the college campus. He was getting bored, finishing another post with Kaseki on another site as always. He looked into her eyes, mesmerized and confused. As the seconds past, her smile grew. "Unknown Lands can wait," she said to him,"You like Kit Kat?"

He blinked a few times, thinking about his answer. "I do, I mean... Yeah I like them... why?"

She tossed him a single small packaged chocolate. She gave a laugh in his seriousness. He caught it and looked at the vibrant orange package. "Pumpkin flavored?" he said out loud. "That's... new?"

She gave another small laugh as he grew more puzzled with the gift. "I didn't want it, so you can have it." He replied with a warm smile. It was something that he tried not to do, for it seemed as if every moment with her made his heart pound. "So she does celebrate Halloween..." he thought.

"Well y'kno." he started, "If you poisoned this, we're gonna have to have a talk." He laughed at his joke, and she did too.

"Of course." She pushed the exit door, "Goodnight, Thomas."

With a large exhale through his nose he dropped the movie. He turned his head and homed in on the sound. He wasn't going to get any silence with the dead outside the door. He maneuvered himself around the furniture. He could hear the struggle outside the door.

With a single flick of his wrist he extended his ASP baton. He was in no mood to play around. He reached toward the door and opened it wide. He lunged out with his stick swinging. He kicked the head on the doorstep and hit the nearest undead in the face. It caved in, creating a thick red mist from the hit. He wasn't about to give up. He continued to clear a path for the girl to enter the home. But he didn't care one bit about her. He didn't care about Isabel. He didn't care about himself.

"I NEVER..." Thomas's swing bashed in another zombie's head as he cried out. He was angry with the world. He needed to let it all out. "... EVER BREAK A PROMISE."

Quite unsure of what the guy meant behind his choice of words, Katherine simply smiles and rushes through the last remaining zombies. Quickly ducking as the guy swings his baton into the head of a zombie going after her. Quickly did she enter the home and ran past the door's entrance. Slowing herself down she turned around and yelled, "Hey get back in here!" Gripping her weapon, that appeared to have a few good swings left before it would be worthless, Katherine walks to the door ready to send the first zombie to attempt to enter. There was much adrenaline in her system and the pace of her heart was high. In the back of her head she was glad that there are still good people in these times...
